Hafa adai from Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, Where America’s Day Begins! Harvest Baptist Church has ministered to the island and regions around since 1975 when it was planted with a mission to help people develop a heart for God. Our ministry is made up of fifteen different nationalities with three main people groups—Asians, islanders and Americans. The main outreaches of the church are these: Harvest Christian Academy, Harvest Baptist Bible College, Harvest Family Radio and Harvest House. You can learn more about our ministry at www.hbcguam.net.
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Pastor Kevin Inafuku to the Gospel ministry. Since Pastor Kevin’s ordination in 2012 under our ministry, he has been very engaged in the pastoral role and has carried the regular preaching for our Wednesday evening services. He has been a faithful man, a committed husband, and a dedicated father of his four children. His beautiful bride, Misty, has taught Bible studies and helped in Bible classes as well as taught K3 in our Academy for seven out of her nine years on staff. Kevin has shown a passion for the Lord, a love for the lost and has been able to adapt to our multi-cultural ministry here at Harvest Baptist Church.
Pastor Inafuku has ministered with us at Harvest for fourteen years serving faithfully as the Minister of Music. In this capacity, he has overseen the music for all of our ministries mentioned above. In addition, he has been actively involved in our summer camp program both with the program and preaching. He has taught Bible in the Academy and been involved in producing four recordings of our Bible College students’ music as well as, through the ministry of Harvest, six of his own recordings. Over the last ten years, he has overseen the adult ministry retreats for couples, men and ladies as well as given direction for our graphics department.
He is one of three men whom we have sent out from our church. Each of these men have all been a part of our ministry for over ten years and have proven to be faithful and dependable with the call of God on their lives. Pastor Kevin Inafuku is headed to Hawaii as his target field; however, he will be taking the next four years to prepare. He will be using Salt Lake City as a base of operation for his deputation while simultaneously being part of a church plant in coordination with Dr. Danny Brooks. This plant is an outreach of Plant4theGospel connecting with Gospel Grace Church in Salt Lake City.
As his sending church, we are excited about this opportunity for Kevin Inafuku to pursue missions and are wholeheartedly supporting him in this endeavor. We encourage you to do so as well—you will not be disappointed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In His Service,
Marty Herron, Senior Pastor
